The Physician Leadership Institute is the Canadian Medical Association’s leadership development program and courses are offered in-house at a reduced cost to SMA members.
Canadian Certified Physician Executive
The Canadian Certified Physician Executive (CCPE) credential recognizes and advances physician leadership and excellence through a national, peer-generated, standards-based assessment process.

Physician Compensation Quality Improvement Program
This program compensates physicians for eligible time they spend on quality improvement (QI) projects and training with an eligible sponsoring organization.
Practice Enhancement Program

Clinical Quality Improvement Program
The Clinical Quality Improvement Program (CQIP) is a 10-month course designed to build capability in leading improvement work in health care, with a focus on clinical quality improvement projects.
