Saskatchewan Medical Association unveils new website

Welcome to the Saskatchewan Medical Association’s (SMA) new website.

“The website is clean, easy to use, and puts a fresh face on the SMA,” said SMA president Dr. John Gjevre. “Physicians had input into its design and testing. The website is designed to function with the needs of physicians foremost in mind.”

Features of the new website include:

  • Improved navigation and search functions.
  • Information reorganized under separate headings for physicians, residents, and students.
  • Information related to compensation housed in one spot, such as sections specifically designed for fee-for-service (FFS) and non-FFS physicians.
  • Links to SMA communications, including President’s Letters, notices and alerts, eNews, and articles.
  • Quick links to a range of programs and services for physicians, including EMR, Insurance, practice support, clinical resources, professional development opportunities, and SMA advocacy such as EDI initiatives.

“The website has been many months in the making, starting with a design phase using physician and stakeholder input, along with analytics,” Dr. Gjevre noted. “I am confident that physicians and the public will be pleased with the new website’s improved navigation features and clean design.”

The website is part of a larger project to implement a new membership system, which will include a portal to enable members to interact with SMA programs and services such as Membership, Benefits, Insurance, SMA members-only information, and more. Details about that project will be unveiled in the new year.

If you have any questions or feedback on the new website, please email or contact Ivan Muzychka, Director, Communications & Community Engagement, at 306-281-4012.
