SMA recruiting new leadership for physician wellness and support programs

Leadership of the Saskatchewan Medical Association’s (SMA) Physician Support Programs (PSP) is undergoing a change. Brenda Senger, longtime Director of PSP, is retiring and focusing on succession planning. As a result, the SMA is recruiting a new Director, Physician Wellness & Support Programs.

We have heard from the medical profession – health and wellness go beyond the individual. Systems, workplaces and cultures require support to change. This position will oversee individual health initiatives and interventions, and develop a team to assist with system and workplace challenges physicians face.

The Director, Physician Wellness & Support Programs, will also champion equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in collaboration with a new EDI physician lead. We have also created the position of Physician Advocate – Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.

Please see below for more information on the two positions. Closing date for applications is June 2, 2022. Please pass these job postings along to anyone you know who might be interested.
