Practice Enhancement Program
What is it?
An education program that provides Saskatchewan physicians with a report on the quality of their practices (generated through a practice-based assessment process). It is intended to encourage physicians to continually improve their clinical skills and office practices to ensure they are providing high-quality patient care.
The program is funded jointly by the Ministry of Health, the SMA, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
Who is eligible?
All Saskatchewan practicing physicians are eligible to participate at least once every five years, with possible exceptions. Selection is based on a stratified randomized selection and under no circumstances will assessments be conducted on physician practices referred to the Practice Enhancement Program, or requested by a physician to fulfil a requirement of another agency.
