Representative Assembly and AGM

Have Your Say at the Representative Assembly

October 30 & 31 2026 | Hotel Saskatchewan | Regina

The Representative Assembly (RA) is where Saskatchewan physicians come together to shape the future of the profession—and your voice matters.

As the governing body of the Saskatchewan Medical Association, the RA brings together about 100 physician representatives from across the province, including medical staff associations, specialty sections, medical students, and residents. Together, they speak on behalf of the entire membership and help guide the work of the SMA.

Why attend the RA?

The Representative Assembly is an opportunity to:

  • Be heard on the issues that matter most to you and your colleagues
  • Help set the direction of the SMA by shaping policy and priorities
  • Connect and network with physicians from across Saskatchewan
  • Engage directly with decision-makers, including conversations with politicians
  • Play a role in leadership, including the election of the Board of Directors

The RA meets twice a year to discuss key issues facing the medical profession, approve the SMA’s annual budget, and ensure strong governance for the association.

By taking part in the Representative Assembly, you’re helping ensure the SMA reflects the collective voices, experiences, and priorities of its members—today and into the future.

Join us at the RA and be part of the conversation.
