Sask. physicians lead by example in SMA children’s vaccination campaign
Physicians around Saskatchewan are demonstrating their confidence in the safety of the COVID-19 pediatric vaccine in the most powerful way – by vaccinating their own children and sharing their reasons why.
On Tuesday, the Saskatchewan Medical Association launched a social media campaign featuring these physicians to help bolster parents’ confidence in vaccine safety for children five to 11. The SMA is hopeful that seeing physicians trusting the vaccine for use with their own children will give others the confidence to do the same.

Dr. Tamara Hinz, a child psychiatrist, shared that her children were eager to be vaccinated. “They are old enough to know the importance of keeping themselves and others safe and were excited for the opportunity.”
The campaign features nine Saskatchewan physicians so far and is live on the SMA’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Please like and share these posts so that they can reach as many Saskatchewan parents as possible.
