SMA committee vacancies provide physicians a chance to serve their profession
Saskatchewan physicians have a number of opportunities to make a difference to their profession and to the organization that serves them.
The Saskatchewan Medical Association has vacancies to fill on committees and groups that are so vital to the performance of the association. Each opening supports the work of the SMA in providing programs and services to physicians in the province.

Medical Compensation Review Committee
The Medical Compensation Review Committee has an opening for a physician-member. Preference will be given to a family physician with 10 or more years practising in rural Saskatchewan within a fee-for-service model. Clinical Services Expert Group
Four positions are vacant on the Clinical Services Expert Group, which reports to the CDM-QIP Steering Committee. Preferences are for one Med Access user (preferably from Regina or the southern part of the province), two Accuro users (preferably one from Regina and one from a rural community) and one paper-based user. The SMA is looking for two physicians to serve on its Economics Committee, which addresses the socio-economic well-being of Saskatchewan physicians. Preference will be given to family physicians and surgeons who have practised for at least 10 years, have worked within a fee-for-service model, and have served on the SMA board, Tariff Committee or Intersectional Council.
